I am applying for an H-1B extension. The prevailing wage determined by icert is less than my actual salary by about $30,000. Will there be a problem if my salary is much higher than the prevailing wage?

I'm in Spain this week so can't give the full treatment, but thanks to readers who sent this happy news. The US has won the Nobel Prize in medicine for work done by these two scientists as well as Carol Greider. Blackburn is Australian-born and Szostak is British-born. They received their award for genetic research that is described here.

Yes, that is accurate. You cannot convert from a Student Visa (F1 visa) to a Resident Visa (Green Card). The F1 visa is not a dual intent Visa. You have to have and H1B or L1 Visa to apply for a resident visa. Generally it is taking Chinese citizens who apply for residency in the employee based 3 or 2 categories. (EB3 or EB2) several years to get their GCs.

I have filed my PERM through my employer and they mis-spelled my name wrongly. How can I correct this. Still my labor is in pending condition. My employer says we will change it once got approved. But is there a way to correct it before it gets approved?. Please advice me.

I am currently starting a language institute in California. I incorporated the organization 2 years ago, but I am starting it now. I want to hire a Brazilian national on an h2b visa to teach Portuguese but I am worried that as I am starting the business now and haven't generated income yet I won't be allowed to hire this teacher. Is this something I should worry about? Thank you for any help. I appreciate it.

Hi,
I was working for a telecom company. I passed 6 years and then was on 1 year extension. Meanwhile my I140 was approved. Lately i was given pink slip and then transfer my H1 to another company. i couldn't join the company since i was waiting for approval notice for my H1 Transfer. Today i received the denial notice for my H1 transfer and extension. I called to the lawyer and they told me to file for B2 as they haven't received the notice as of yet. So the reason of denial is still unknown. I was wondering what are my current options? Should i wait and file a motion for the H1 transfer denial or should i go ahead with B2? Please advise.

I'm creating a car game. i managed to get the car moving and all, but i dunno how to make the car collide with the obstacles when it hits it.
How do i make it such away that if the car overlaps the kind of obstacle i want, dont have to be simple shapes but mostly oddly shaped obstacles, it would stop. that'll be good.

hi,
i entered the US on AP in Jan 2010, and at the time of entry, my I94 validity was set for
1 year (viz Jan 2011) - and the AP also noted "AoS" status on it.
(a) Is the validity of my I94 (and thus my legal stay) 1 year, or as i have read elsewhere,
if AoS is pending, then its valid till the AoS case is decided?
(b) If the validity is 1 year, what is the process for extending the I94 validity?

I am in the process of applying for the green card but as the labor department was delayed to send the paperwork by status became out of status, my lawyer suggested me to go back to my country apply for H1B visa and come back. That is why I want to apply for H1B visa . My lawyer tells me that there is no way I can get an approval if my company doesnt show tax return documents for the last 2 years. Is it true or there is another way or documentation which could be used in order to apply for the visa? My boss doesnt want to show the tax returns but accepts to show a bank account and different type of paperwork such as franchise agreements or certificates.
Can you please let me know if my lawyer suggests me the righ way if not which woudl be the best way to continue my green card process and get a result as soon as possible.

Last Friday was a depressing day for me. A businessman and his daughter visited me in my office. When I asked how they had learned about our law firm, they said a lot of flattering things about how "famous" we were and about our "great" website. However, when I analyzed their case, it quickly became apparent to me that nothing could be done to help them. It was too late. I am a USC living in Jordan with my Jordanian husband, he was approved to apply for SB-1 visa ( because of his expired green card) and was sent the IV packet, which included the affidavit of support, just wondering how I'm going to fill the form since I don't work (never have) and live in Jordan with my husband, I was told I should fill out zeros where numbers are required and write unemployed where asked about work, is this the case? I will have a joint sponsor who is my brother in law who is a USC living and residing in the US, will this work? Please help as I couldn't find any answers on the net ( and I have been browsing all day!)
