    Hello,

    I am currently working on H1b visa (stamped & valid till Feb 2011). My I-485 is pending (EB3, India). However, I have a need to stay on H1-B status.

    If I find a new job/employer who files for an H1-B transfer:

    1. Can I travel internationally immediately after getting the receipt notice? I will continue to work for my old employer till I get back from vacation.

    2. In the same trip, I plan to get married and get my spouse on a H4 visa. Will getting new H4 visa be an issue in such a case?

    3. Any issues at POE?

    Hi All,

    How important is the location of the US embassy for getting the H1B visa stamping ? When applying for my H1B petition in April 2008, my lawyer had mentioned that I would be going to the US embassy in Germany for the H1B visa interview. I'm also aware that I could go to my home country for doing the same. However, does anyone know if I can go to Canada/Mexico, given that I have the visas to go to these countries ? I have a US H4 visa.

    Hey guys, I was wondering what program you guys use to view RAW files from your Sony (Alpha 200 in my case)?

    I am particularly interested in a viewer where I can scroll throw a folder of images quickly full scree, using the arrow keys on the keyboard, possibly with an option to zoom in 100% and also possibly where I can easily delete the image with a press of the Delete button. You guys know of any freebie utility viewer like that? I tried MaxView from Faststone but it does not seem to display the pic in high quality. Thanks.

    I joined new job using EAD, didn't invoke AC21, my 140 was approved and I filed 485 in July2007.

    There was a RFE for geographical discrepancy explanation and EVL from 140 filed employer or EVL from new employer if changed jobs on 04/29/2009.
    (Changed address using AR11 after filing 485)

    RFE on 485 on 04/29/2009
    LUD on 140 on 05/01/2009
    USCIS received EVL from new employer with AC21 - on 05/11/2009
    LUD on 485 on 05/13/2009
    LUD on 485 on 05/14/2009

    Don't know whether they are soft LUD or Hard LUD.

    Couple of questions, Is LUD on 140 normal when there is a RFE on 485?
    Continuous LUD's on 485 normal?

    can some one answer ...

    1. You can start a business. But you can't work or spend time on it. Just spend money and some one can run it. Silent owner.
    2. Same applicable for H4.

    If you have EAD, H1 & H4 can work in your own business and work in current H1.

    H1 & H4 (without EAD) forget about starting business and sit in your own company/shop/gas station etc.... & MAKE MONEY. This is the fact.

    Question: Can person A on an H1B start own business while continuing to work with current H1B job? Can the business be not related to ones profession? Can a person on H4 visa start his won business too? Any answer is appreciated!

    Yes it is pretty much recognised for h1b purpose or for any other purpose whatsoever. I got my first h1b approval on the basis of my MBA from IGNOU.

    It seems like ages since the federal government transformed the rules on when and how foreign citizens apply for visas to enter the United States.
